Since 2001, all federally insured financial institutions must demonstrate compliance with the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA) Data Protection provisions. GLBA requires financial institutions to provide administrative, technical and physical safeguards for customer records and information.

To assist with this process, IDC Partners has developed a GLBA Stewardship program. This service offering provides pertinent information and a mini examination assessing the institution's progress towards implementing privacy and information security safeguards. The work effort is completed with a wrap-up meeting where IDC Partners will review with you the information presented in the Compliance Report Card.

IDC Partners' GLBA Stewardship service offering is designed to provide your financial institution a current state of their compliance preparedness. It will include recommendations for action items to move your financial institution forward to full compliance.

Have you considered?

  • Have you classified all your data (i.e. nonpublic customer, commercial)?
  • Have you had an independent diagnostic test of your Information Security Program?
  • Have you trained staff on new responsibilities under the program?
  • Have you identified all your contract relationships and performed a vendor risk assessment?
  • Have you implemented a continuous monitoring and auditing program?
